What is Alexandria’s Food and Wine Festival 2014?
It is an annual signature event that transforms the Carlyle District into a lively festival, complete with live entertainment, a children’s corner, food and wine tasting, a food demonstration showcase area and a VIP networking reception for our sponsors. Over 10,000 people are anticipated for this community event. Local restaurants will compete for the best appetizer, the best main course and the best desert. People will be able to sample food and wine from diverse local restaurant and Virginia’s wineries.
S and B Event Management LLC is the host and owner of the event and is organizing it in partnership with the City of Alexandria and Carlyle Community Council.

Where is it located?
300 John Carlyle Street – Alexandria VA 22314
It is located in John Carlyle Square in the Carlyle District of Alexandria. It is easily accessible by car, Metrorail or Dash Bus. It is conveniently located just three blocks from the King Street Metro Station and four blocks from the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station on Metrorail’s Yellow and Blue Lines.
Who benefits from the Alexandria’s Food and Wine Festival 2014?
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a Volunteer Alexandria, a non profit organization active within the city of Alexandria. Volunteer Alexandria is in the business of helping Alexandrians give back to this City with their whole heart, through volunteering. We are essentially matchmakers providing connections between volunteers and nonprofits or City agencies needing assistance the most.

Is this a FREE event?
This is a FREE event to attend; however tickets are needed to sample food and beverages.
- Food samples: $20 (onsite), $15 (online) for 8 taste tickets.
- Wine Garden is $20 (onsite), $15 (online) per person. This gives you access to the wine garden with tasting samples from the wineries. (you’ll get a yellow wristband)
Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased on-site the day of the event or online at a reduced price.
How are the tickets sold?
Each booklet is comprised of a total of 8 Taste tickets at the price of $20. Each food item costs between 1 to 4 tickets.
Can I bring my dog?
No, sorry. I am a pet lover too, but no pet are allowed.
What if it rains?
The event will take place rain or shine.
What is the children’s corner?
The children’s corner is an area of the event specifically set up for children. It includes a moon bounce and other activities for children. Please visit the children’s corner page for more information.
Will there be art and craft vendors?
Yes. Art and craft vendors will be at the event if you want to take the opportunty to shop for your family and friends.
